Vapor Trail 125 - Event Details

For 2008 the Vapor Trail 125 will be an official ride, by invitation only. It will operate under an ACA "training ride" permit, but it will not be a race. We are capping the ride at 45 participants. Please contact us for more information about joining the ride.

The ride will leave Salida at 10 PM and will follow a marked course. There will be four aid stations. There will be no official timing, official results, nor will there be a fee to enter. We will ask that riders make a donation at the end, either to help fund the post-VT125 barbeque or to help fund Salida Mountain Trails.

If you have not done the Vapor Trail 125 before, we will be requiring that you submit a ride resume.

If you are invited to join us, we will insist that you be available at Absolute Bikes in Salida by 7:00 PM on the 6th to sign waivers, fill out the details for a free CORSAR Card (Search and Rescue), and submit to a basic medical check-in.

You will have to have an adequate lighting system and some backup lighting system. You will need at least 6 hours worth of high-intensity light suitable for technical singletrack, and perhaps another 5 hours of light that you can use to ride roads in complete darkness. You will also need to have clothing adequate for the conditions.
